A 2023 Chevrolet Colorado pickup from Ray Jones Chevrolet in Center was delivered to the Center Noon Lions Club last week. The truck and cash awards will be given away at the East Texas Poultry Festival in Center in October. Proceeds from the annual fund raiser benefit the many community projects and charities supported by the local civic club.
Truck and Tickets Available at the Poultry Festival
August 31, 2023 - The Center Noon Lions Club Danny Foster Memorial Fundraiser is underway. The local civic club’s primary funding project in which a Chevrolet Colorado pickup and cash award “runner up” prizes will be given away at the East Texas Poultry Festival in Center on October 7th.
Lions Club members are accepting donations now for the fundraiser drawing. Proceeds will benefit the many community projects and charities supported by the civic club. Donations are $100 per ticket with a limited number of tickets available.
Tickets are available from any Center Noon Lions Club member, at The Light and Champion newspaper office at 137 San Augustine Street in Center, or Campbell Portable Buildings at Southview Circle in Center. The truck will be on display at alternating places of business with tickets also available there.
Through their humanitarian efforts from fundraiser donations, the Center Noon Lions Club supports local charities, schools, children's eyeglasses, children with health problems as well as assisting with the building of baseball, softball and soccer fields.
