December 21, 2015 - On Saturday, December 19, 2015 the youth from Ramah Baptist Church Tenaha went to Brookshire Brothers in Center, TX and purchase enough food to fill 50 bags to help stock the shelves at the Shelby County Outreach Center. The kids had been collecting change from Church members, family and friends for several months. They set their goal at $500 and reached it just in time to purchase the food before Christmas.
This has become a favorite tradition for the kids at Ramah. They enjoy doing the shopping rather than just giving the money. They have learned to work together and help those in need.
This is the season for giving and the kids would love to invite you to follow their footsteps. The Outreach Center depends on donations to help those families who are in need and appreciate all donations. They also have an Angel Tree at WalMart in Center and are still in need of help with these gifts. It's not too late to help some children this Christmas who might otherwise not have a Christmas. The deadline to submit gifts from the Angel Tree is Tuesday, December 22. From the Youth and members at Ramah Baptist Church we all wish you a Blessed and Merry Christmas.
