March 12, 2024 - On March 5, 2024, the Republican Primary election was held in Shelby County. I appreciate very much the efforts made by all who voted in that election. I realize citizens of our county take time out of their lives to complete their civic duty to participate in these important elections.
We now have two runoff elections scheduled on May 28, 2024, the Sheriff’s position in Shelby County and the Precinct 3 Constable position. I cannot stress the importance of a good voter turnout for these runoff elections. These are two law enforcement positions that are responsible for the protection of the citizens of the State of Texas and Shelby County. To uphold and protect the lives, rights, privileges, and property of the people of Shelby County is not a task for anyone other than the very best qualified personnel that have the ability to organize and execute existing assets already present in Shelby County. Law enforcement personnel are responsible for planning and being prepared for the worst that life has to offer when it comes to crime and natural disasters.
We need an experienced leader that has the confidence and trust of the people and also the ability to organize existing law enforcement personnel in the county to work together and all pull in the same direction.
It is my sincere wish to serve the people of Shelby County in a professional manner and with the utmost confidence of the people. I would very much appreciate your vote on May 28th, 2024 for Sheriff of Shelby County, Texas.
