Shelby County Football for Week 9

This week saw all five Shelby County varsity football teams compete in district competition.

The Center Roughriders took a 42-19 road win over the Bullard Panthers. Center now stands at 6-1 and 1-1 in District 8 4A2 conference play. Center will Host the Brownsboro Bears on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. at Roughriders Stadium. The Bears are 0-6, 0-1 and there is no score reported yet for their game with Rusk on Friday.

The Joaquin Rams improved their record to 5-2 overall and they are 2-0 in District 11 2A-1 after a 52-26 road win over the Hemphill Hornets. The Rams will host the Timpson Bears on Friday, October 25 at 7:30 p.m. The Bears fell 58-57 at home to the Shelbyville Dragons. Shelbyville is 5-1 and 2-0 in District 11. They will host the San Augustine Wolves on Friday, October 25 at 7:30 p.m.  SAHS is 3-4, 0-2 and lost Friday at home to Garrison 31-0.

The Tenaha Tigers are 1-6 and 0-4 in District 11 2A-2. Tenaha hosts the Cushing Bearkats on Friday, October 25 at 7 p.m. at Raymond Jackson Stadium. Cushing is 2-4, 0-2 and lost at home to Grapeland 40-0 on Friday.
