February 14, 2025 - Descendants of W.M. Livingston McGee and Nancy Emily Adams are seeking donations to install a marker at their gravesite.
Ida Faye Eddins shared, "I am Ida Fay Edison/Eddins, great-granddaughter of W.M. Livingston McGee and Nancy Emily Adams. I am also a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas whose mission is to preserve Texas history and as such, I really want to preserve the history of my ancestors. I visited the Johnson Cemetery and found the graves of W.M. and Nancy and the only marker is a cement block with Emmie McGee on it. There is no marker for W.M. Livingston McGee."
Eddins shared it is her plans to have a marker placed on the McGee's graves and the estimated cost of no less than $1,000 for one wide enough to put their information on it.
If you are a descendant of W.M. and Emily McGee and would be able to help with the cost, it would be appreciated.

When the marker comes in, it would be great for all who have helped and all descendants to come to the cemetery to see the marker and meet and greet each other. J.C. McGee is helping with the project. *J.C. McGee and Ida Fay Eddins are grandchildren of Robert Monty and Arrissa Truitt McGee.
