April 8, 2025 - Congrats to the Tenaha High School Band for their sixth consecutive UIL Sweepstakes Award!
The Roarin’ Band from Tigerland traveled to Troup High School on April 1st and competed in the 2025 UIL Region 21 2A Concert and Sightreading Contest earning straight ones and clinching the Sweepstakes Award for the sixth consecutive year.
Tenaha ISD shared, "It has been an intense 12-14 months... The expectations put on this group was unreal... maybe among the most challenging 14 months any band program has withstood... virtually impossible to achieve... bordering on unfair honestly... And then today they performed one of the most challenging UIL programs they’ve ever attempted."
The Band Students, their directors, their chaperones, their parents/ families, their academic teachers, and their administrators stepped up to the plate and hit a home run this year. They deserve the biggest round of applause!
Congrats Tenaha High School Band of 2024-2025! You are done and you survived! Take a bow!
