May 16, 2025 - Both the Dragons and Lady Dragons of Shelbyville are still in playoff action this weekend:
The Dragons are in Round III of the UIL Playoffs against the Frankston Indians. Thursday night in Carthage, the Dragons took Game 1 with a 5-2 victory.
The Lady Dragons are in Round IV (Regional Championship) against the Lady Bulldogs of Corrigan-Camden. Last night on the field next door to the guys in Carthage, the Lady Dragons fell 8-12 in Game 1.
Friday night, May 16th both teams will play in Game 2, and Pineywoods Sports will provide the live stream for both games on the NFHS Network. (As the partner of the UIL, the network owns the rights to all state playoffs and requires a monthly or yearly subscription to view the games.)
As the visiting team, the Dragons hope to win the series in Game 2 vs the Indians in Tatum, TX. First pitch is 6pm with Chris Watlington on the call; the Pregame Show should begin at 5:45pm.
