Florida Coastal School of Law nationally recognized for producing practice ready graduates
January 15, 2016 JACKSONVILLE, FL — Kasey Golden of Center, Texas graduated with a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in a commencement ceremony held on December 12, 2015.
While at Coastal Law, Golden participated in the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic and studied Spanish in Cuenca, Ecuador. After passing the bar, Golden says she would like to practice immigration law.
Coastal Law was one of only 20 law schools out of over 200 American Bar Association accredited law schools in the country to receive a grade of A+ for providing its students with practical training by the National Jurist Magazine. Coastal Law’s advocacy programs have also received national honors and its moot court program ranked number one in the nation for the second year in a row. Founded in 1996, one of Coastal Law’s core missions has been to prepare its students for innovation in law practice. Serving the underserved both in professional and community service is another of its core mission pillars. The class of 2014 provided over 140,00pro bono hours of legal service to the Jacksonville community.
