Donna K. Reed, 56, lost her battle with cancer on July 19, 2025. She was born January 23, 1969 to her biological parents, Carl Lee Johnson and Ruthie Lee Boykin. At three days old, Donna was adopted by Ada B. and M. T. Reed, who loved and raised her until their death.
Homecoming service is at 1pm on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Saint John Missionary Baptist Church, 102 Booker T. Washington Drive, Tenaha, Texas with Bro. Donald Riley and Rev. Anthony Lane, Eulogist. Visitation is from 11am until 6pm on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Community Funeral Home Chapel in Center. Interment is at St. John Cemetery.
Donna joined the Saint John Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She graduated from Tenaha ISD.
She did a few private sitting jobs, but was a stay-at-home mom for her entire life. Donna always had a conversation for anyone.
She was preceded in death by parents, Ada B. and M.T. Reed; brothers, Only Reed Jr. (Lillie Ruth) and Robert Reed; and sisters, Lizzie Mae Moblin (R.L.), Eddie Mae Dorsey, Gladies M. Samuels (Charlie Thomas), and Tericia Ann Reed.
