November 17, 2025 - Shelby County Office of Emergency Management Seeks Public Input for Regional Flood Planning Efforts
The Shelby County Office of Emergency Management, in coordination with the Regional Flood Planning Group supporting the Sabine and Angelina/Neches river floodplains, is inviting residents, business owners, and community stakeholders to share their input on local flood risks, concerns, and priorities as part of the ongoing regional flood planning process.
This planning group is tasked with developing a comprehensive strategy to reduce flood risks, improve community resilience, and guide future infrastructure investments across the Sabine and Angelina/Neches river basins. Public input is a vital part of this process, ensuring that the plan reflects the lived experiences and needs of those most affected.
Community members are encouraged to participate by scanning the QR code and completing a brief survey identifying flood-prone areas in their community.
Together, we can build a safer, more flood-resilient future for Shelby County and the surrounding region.
