Pauline “Polly” Eddins, 79, of Center, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm, Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 10am, Friday, June 26, 2026, at Old Home Cemetery in Center with Bro. Joshua Sanford officiating.

Born May 9, 1947, in Shelby County, Polly is the daughter of Dewey Barton and Mary Helen Hutto Barton. Polly graduated from Tenaha High School in 1965 and married the love of her life, Benny Eddins, on June 7, 1968. Together, they shared two sons, Eric and Josh Eddins. 

Polly was a devoted member of the Lone Star Baptist Church in Center, Texas, where her faith played an important role throughout her life. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and spending time with family, but was happiest when surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Brother, Danny Wayne Barton of the Paxton Community of Shelby County

Preceded in death by parents, Dewey “Bud” Barton and Mary Helen Barton Carter; and brothers, Elton Barton and Jim Barton.
