Louis Ray Wright, 65, of Tenaha, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, in Tenaha, Texas, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on September 8, 1960, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Louis A. Wright and Edith Bell (Byrd) Wright.
Graveside service will be held at 10AM on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at his residence, 591 County Road 4489, Tenaha, Texas, with Bro. Aaron Bequette officiating.
Louis Wright spent most of his life in Livingston, Texas, a community he proudly called home. It was there that he met the love of his life, Patti Steadman. Their love story began in Livingston, where they both frequently spent time, and it soon grew into a lifelong bond. Louis and Patti were united in marriage on June 7, 1980, and together they shared many wonderful years filled with love, devotion, and lasting memories.
Louis enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved hunting and fishing with his grandson, Kannon. He also enjoyed traveling to the Texas Hill Country, where he looked forward to visiting Gruene Hall, one of his favorite places to relax and listen to live music. His love for good music, nature, and time spent away with family and friends brought him great joy throughout his life.
Above all, Louis cherished spending time with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He was also blessed with lifelong friendships and meaningful family connections. He held a deep and lasting bond with his childhood friend, Johnny Grayson, whom he loved dearly and stayed close with throughout the years. He also shared a special friendship with Carl Addison and a close relationship with his special nephew, Jayson Tindol. These relationships were deeply important to him and remained a treasured part of his life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patti Wright
