August 21, 2026 - Nothing ruins the beautiful East Texas scenery like litter. While our crews and contractors work to keep roads clean, we can’t do it alone. Please consider participating in TxDOT’s Adopt-a-Highway Program. The district currently has 134 two-mile road segments available for adoption.
You can submit an application online or contact our program coordinator at aah-lfk@txdot.gov or 936-634-4433.
At 9am on Saturday, September 5, Angelina Beautiful/Clean will host its quarterly Adopt-a-Highway clean up. Volunteers will meet at 1615 S. Chestnut Street in Lufkin. This is an excellent chance for service organizations to get volunteer hours and help beautify our communities.
