Her second marriage to John (Ric) Partlow brought her to Texas, and gave her two more children, Eric Partlow and Amy Partlow – Lindley. Laurie then began her career working for the Nursing homes in dietary, starting as an Aide, and then working her way up to Dietary manager. Her 30 plus career started at Green Acres, and then to Holiday Nursing Center, and a brief time at Colonial Pines, and then back to Green Acres, now known as Focus Care. Through her career, she has met and made many friends along the way. She loved the color turquoise and collected copper and oil lamps.
