Alvin “Al” Howard, 88, of Tenaha, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026, in Center.

His wishes were to be cremated.

Born May 23, 1938, Al is the son of George Henry Howard and Maysie Von Parrott Howard. He served in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1959. Al worked as a carpenter in his uncle’s building contracting business in Las Vegas, Nevada, from 1960 until 1966. He moved his family to Floydada, Texas, where he started his own flying service. Al owned and operated Howards Flying Service for 21 years before moving to Tenaha, Texas in 1987.
