Betty Jo Reynolds, 74, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on October 27, 2026, in Carthage, Texas. She was born on July 4, 1952, in Center, Texas, to Ernest Gordon Dean and Hessie (Shelton) Dean.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Mangum Funeral Home, with Bro. Larry Harville officiating. Interment will follow at Asbury Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1pm.
Betty attended Joaquin High School. She dedicated more than 17 years of her life to working at Walmart in Center before retiring. She was a loving and caring person who had a wonderful sense of humor and a gift for bringing laughter to those around her.
She loved her family dearly, and the time she spent with them was among the greatest joys of her life. She also had a deep appreciation for nature and enjoyed spending time outdoors. When she was relaxing at home, she especially enjoyed watching her favorite soap operas, with General Hospital being a particular favorite. Her beloved dog, Sophie, held a very special place in her heart and was a cherished companion.
Betty will be remembered for her kind and caring nature, her laughter, her love for her family, and the joy she brought to those fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind many precious memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her son, Al Reynolds; parents, Ernest Gordon and Hessie Dean; brother, Eugene Gordon; and sister, Marlene Crowley.
