Bobby Eugene Oswalt, 82, of Huxley, passed away Monday, July 1, 2019, in Huxley.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Chris Welch, Bro. Michael McArthur, Bro. Rusty Hall, and Bro. Gordon Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow at Strong Cemetery in Huxley.

Mr. Oswalt was born October 28, 1936, in Huxley, to Jimmy Aaron Oswalt and Agnes Joy Davis Oswalt. Following high school, he moved to Orange. There, he met and married Wilma Essl and together they had three sons. While in Orange, Mr. Oswalt owned and operated general stores in Orange and Winnsboro. After Wilma passed away, Mr. Oswalt moved back to Huxley and later married Annette Dingler. The two began farming and he also worked as a commercial hay bailer for over forty years. More than anything, Mr. Oswalt enjoyed spending time with his family and teaching his children and grandchildren family values and a good work ethic.

Pallbearers will be Zachary Oswalt, Levi Willoughby, Coty Oswalt, Cade Oswalt, Roper Oswalt, Kaleb Oswalt, Colton Bearden, and Sammy Furlow. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith O’Rear, Gilbert Vaughn, Keith Oswalt, and Steve Oswalt.
