Chad Alan Murphy, 52, of Center, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026, in Tyler.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 13, 2026, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Rev. Jonnie Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Short Cemetery in Shelby County.
Born February 13, 1973, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Chad is the son of Thomas Paul Murphy and the late Melba Gay Ramsey Fults. He drove a truck for a living- a job he loved. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and being a mechanic. Chad was an amazing cook and often shared his signature dishes, chicken spaghetti and chicken and dumplings, with his family. Sitting on the porch drinking coffee, playing with his cats, and spending time with his grandchildren and his brothers brought Chad great joy.
