Charlotte Ann Hughes, 80, of Center, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025, in Nacogdoches.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Bro. Ruston Bush will officiate. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.
Born August 7, 1945, in Joaquin, Charlotte is the daughter of Boyce Norris and Vernice Brown Norris. Charlotte was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Center.
She is survived by her children, Derrick Hughes and wife Inez of Center and Shannon Lee and husband Greg of Center; grandchildren, Autumn Hughes, Cam Lee, and Arista Lee; brother-in-law, Fred Hughes and wife Judy of Lufkin; special nieces, Joyce Bush, Katha Hughes, Donna Hughes, and Suzette Hughes; special cousin and friend, Jason Burch of Center; fur baby, Bear; and special friend, Michael McMahon.
Preceded in death by parents, Boyce Norris and Vernice Brown Norris; sister, Patsy Norris; brothers, Denman Norris and Merlin “Red” Norris; nephew, Bradley Nunley; and sister-in-law, Gail Norris.
Pallbearers will be Greg Lee, Cam Lee, Jason Burch, Tyler Burch, Michael McMahon, and Michael David Bush. Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Chandler, Ryan Chandler, and Michael Henry Bush.
