Hector Pineda Gonzalez, de 66 años, de Tenaha, Texas, partió en paz a la presencia del Señor el 5 de diciembre de 2025 en Shreveport, Luisiana, rodeado de su amorosa familia. Hector nació el 3 de julio de 1959 en San Luis Potosí, México, hijo de Benjamin Pineda y Graciela Gonzalez.
La velatoria tendrá lugar de 17:00 a 20:00 horas el miércoles 10 de diciembre de 2025 en la funeraria Mangum en Center, Texas. Los servicios funerarios se celebrarán a las 14:00 horas del jueves 11 de diciembre de 2025 en Mangum Funeral Home. El entierro tendrá lugar a continuación en el cementerio Restland, en Tenaha, Texas.
Desde muy joven, Hector fue conocido como un hombre trabajador, responsable e inteligente. A los 12 años descubrió una pasión de por vida por la soldadura, oficio que reflejaba su determinación, creatividad y fuerte ética de trabajo. Más adelante trabajó en las minas de carbón reparando los carros de carbón, sin temer nunca al trabajo duro y siempre encontrando la manera de resolver cualquier problema que se le presentara. Si Hector no sabía cómo hacer algo, simplemente encontraba la manera de lograrlo.
A la edad de 15 años, Héctor participó en jaripeos en Minas de la Luz, montando con tal valentía que ni siquiera cuando cayó con la montura aún puesta el toro pudo derrotarlo. Más adelante se ganó el apodo de “La Rasuradora” por su tiempo jugando béisbol, donde orgullosamente portaba el número 5 y jugaba en la tercera base, siendo conocido por nunca dejar nada incompleto. En 1978, con gran valentía, emigró a los Estados Unidos en busca de un mejor futuro para su familia.
Hector fue un hombre firme en sus creencias y guiado por fuertes valores. Solía decir: “Un buen pitcher siempre revirea primera base”, para él significaba que en la vida siempre hay que estar atentos, preparados y cuidar lo que es nuestro, así como proteger a la familia, el trabajo y todo aquello que vale la pena. Conoció al amor de su vida en el tercer grado y siempre decía que fue amor a primera vista. Su historia de amor se convirtió en el fundamento de un hermoso legado familiar.
Más que cualquier título que haya tenido, Hector se sentía más orgulloso de ser padre, abuelo y bisabuelo. Su familia era su mayor tesoro y su alegría más grande. Aunque era conocido como un hombre fuerte y a veces serio, sus nietos sacaban su lado más tierno y dulce. Convertirse en abuelo fue realmente el orgullo de su vida.
En su tiempo libre, Hector disfrutaba trabajar, jugar billar, dominó y béisbol, bailar con sus nietos y compartir risas con quienes amaba. En su juventud, le encantaba jugar béisbol, llevando ese amor por el deporte durante toda su vida.
Hector será recordado por siempre como un hombre dedicado, un proveedor, un esposo leal, un padre amoroso y un orgulloso abuelo cuya mayor alegría siempre fue su familia. Su legado de trabajo arduo y amor incondicional continuará a través de las muchas vidas que tocó.

Hector Pineda Gonzalez, 66, of Tenaha, Texas, went peacefully into the presence of the Lord on December 5, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana, surrounded by his loving family
Hector was born on July 3, 1959, in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, to Benjamin Pineda and Graciela Gonzalez.
Visitation will be held from 5-8PM on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Mangum Funeral Home in Center, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Mangum Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery, Tenaha, Texas.
From a young age, Hector was known as a hardworking, responsible, and intelligent man. At just 12 years old, he discovered a lifelong passion for welding, work that reflected his determination, creativity, and strong work ethic. He later worked in the coal mines repairing coal cars, never shying away from labor and always finding a way to solve any problem placed before him. If Hector didn’t know how to do something, he would simply figure it out.
At the young age of 15, Hector participated in jaripeos en Minas de la Luz, riding with such courage that even after falling with the saddle still on, the bull could not defeat him.
He later earned the nickname “La Rasuradora” from his time playing baseball, where he proudly wore number 5 and played third base, known for never leaving anything unfinished. In 1978, he bravely moved to the United States in pursuit of a better future for his family.
Hector was a man grounded in his beliefs and guided by strong values. He often said, “A good pitcher always checks first base,” a phrase he used to remind others that in life we must stay alert, be prepared, and protect what matters most, our family, our responsibilities, and our values. He met the love of his life in the third grade and always said it was love at first sight. Their love story became the foundation of a beautiful family legacy.
More than any title he ever held, Hector was most proud to be a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His family was his greatest treasure and his greatest joy. Though known as a strong and sometimes stern man, his grandchildren brought out the softest, sweetest side of him. Becoming a grandparent was truly the pride of his life.
In his free time, Hector enjoyed working, playing billiards, dominoes, baseball, dancing with his grandchildren, and sharing laughter with those he loved. In his younger years, he loved playing baseball, carrying that love for the game throughout his life.
Hector will forever be remembered as a devoted man, a selfless provider, a loyal husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather whose greatest joy was always his family. His legacy of hard work, and unconditional love will continue through the many lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his Mother, Graciela Gonzalez.
