Jamie Lyn Jamison, 49, of Center, Texas, passed away on January 14, 2026, in Center, Texas. She was born on December 29, 1976, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to James Edward Holloway and Sharon (Norsworthy) Holloway.
Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel, Center, Texas, with Bro. Stephen Berry officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery.
Jamie grew up in the sand hills in Neuville surrounded by family and graduated from Shelbyville High School, Class of 1995. On January 22, 2000, Jamie married her high school sweetheart, Javey Jamison, beginning a loving marriage rooted in devotion, friendship, and faith. Together they shared a beautiful life and were blessed with one daughter, Hannah, whom Jamie loved deeply.
Jamie followed her call to care for others and graduated from nursing school in 2004. She worked as a nurse at CHI St. Luke - San Augustine, where she was known as an exceptional caregiver. Jamie found true joy in serving others and she was admired for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her patients.
Above all else, Jamie loved her family. She cherished her husband Javey and took great pride in her daughter. Known lovingly as “Shuggie,” Jamie was the absolute best grandmother who adored her grandson, Jaxon, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. She also deeply loved her friends, her community, and her extended family.
Jamie was known for her feisty spirit and strong opinions-she never held back and always spoke her mind. Beneath that boldness was a heart full of love, generosity, and fierce loyalty to those she held dear.
A faithful servant of the Lord, Jamie was a devoted member of Neuville Baptist Church, where she served alongside her family and lived out her faith daily. She was also a member of the Shelby County Eastern Star.
