Johnny Pridgen, 78, of Joaquin, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 7, 2021, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with visitation beginning at 1pm. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. Bro. Jeff Spring and Bro. Jody Hooper will officiate.  

Born May 31, 1942, in Shelby County, Johnny is the son of the late Claude Pridgen and Lurline Glaze Pridgen. He spent his life tending to his cows, piddling with his horses, and spending time with “Scamp”.  Johnny was a member of Word of Faith Outreach in Joaquin.

He is survived by:

Preceded in death by his parents, Claude Pridgen and Lurline Glaze Pridgen; sister, Betty Dean; brother-in-law, Webb Dean; and sister-in-law, Jane Pridgen.

Pallbearers will be Jerry D. McDaniel, Todd McDaniel, Lane Pridgen, Doug Shook, Kase Yates, and Nate Belrose.

Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Smith, Jerry McDaniel, Rodney Dean, Harry Furlow, Spencer Hamilton, and Bobby Leflett.
