Katie V. (Harrison) Ketchum passed away September 10, 2026 just before her 87th birthday. She was born on September 27, 1939, in Longstreet, Louisiana, to Douglas Harrison Sr. and Lendy McCowan, and was lovingly raised by Lurene Bolton Hamilton.
Funeral service is at 2pm on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Lily of the Valley C.O.G.I.C., 963 Greer Street, Center, Texas with Pastor Clean Williams Sr. officiating. Visitation is from 10am to 6pm on Friday, September 18 at Community Funeral Home Chapel in Center.
Interment is at Westview Cemetery in Center.
Katie worked as a Chef cook for many years, and soon became self-employed in the Resell Industry.
She is preceded in death by father, Douglas Harrison Sr.; mother, Lendy McCowan; step-mother, Lurene Bolton Hamilton; sisters, Ruby Harrison, and Jerlene Thomas; and brothers, Johnny B. Harrison, Douglas Harrison Jr., and Don Allen Hamilton.
