Leta Fae “Teny” Rector was born the late John and Ruby Gibbs on November 4th, 1954. She was called home by her Lord on June 10th, 2024.
Visitation will be 10am Monday, June 17, 2024 at Mt. Union Freewill Baptist Church in Garrison. Service will follow at 11am Monday June 17, 2020 at Mt. Union Freewill Baptist Church with interment at Concord Cemetery.
She enjoyed many things in life including, singing with her family, fishing, cooking, sewing, and gathering with family and friends. She married Kenneth Rector on October 23, 1989. They shared almost 35 years of marriage together. She was a valued member of Mount Union Free Will Baptist church in Garrison, TX. She was the piano player, special music singer, deacon wife, dumpling maker, and recently the pastor’s wife. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and especially loved singing about Him. She spent 29 years as a mail carrier for the Garrison Post Office.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, John and Ruby Gibbs, and her daughter Shelby Rector. She is survived by her husband Kenneth Rector of Carthage, TX.
Services are under the direction of Garrison Funeral Home.
