Constance Mary (Connie) Weaver - 87, of Center, passed away Friday, March 31, 2006. She was born January 24, 1919 in Liverpool England to Algemon Stanley and Constance Mary Cavenoish. Ms. Weaver was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church in Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Monday, April 3, 2006 at the First Christain Church in Center with Rev. Steve Scott and Rev. Carolyn Davis officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Center, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Bob Havran, Blake Havran, Barrett Havran, Trey Crain, Luke Motley, Mike Bird, Neilson Davis & Jim Donnon.

Honorary Pallbearers will be W.I. Davis, Patrick Nethery, Joe West, Pam Phelps, & Pat Tucker.

Survivors Include: Husband: Malcolm Weaver of Center, Daughter: Mary Weaver Crain and husband Tom of Corpus Christi. Son: Mark Weaver and wife Mary Jean of Wooland Park, Co. 6 Grandchildren: Allison Crain, Shannon Crain, Trey Crain, Travis Weaver, Meagan Weaver, & John Mark Weaver. Sister in law: Joy Weaver of Center. Many other kinsman in England and Northern Ireland.

Ima Duncan Furlow - Mangum Funeral Home announces services for Ima Furlow, 87, of Joaquin. Ima Furlow passed away Sunday, April 2, 2006 at Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport. She was born October 13, 1918 in Shelbyville to J.J. & Lona Youngblood Duncan.
She is preceded in death by Parents: J.J. Duncan & Lona Youngblood Duncan, and 5 Brothers.

Among Mrs. Furlow’s survivors are her husband of 59 years, Ed Furlow, of Joaquin, one son, Morris Brown and wife Sally, of Joaquin, and two daughters, Beth Brown Lee & husband Harold of Lake Conroe, and Carla Adkison & husband David , of Shreveport. Special Nephew: Dan L. Curtis Darwin "Dick" Taylor - Curtis Darwin "Dick" Taylor, 59, of Joaquin, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2006 in a Longview hospital. He was born November 29, 1946 in Cleveland, Texas to J.C. Taylor & Doris Oakley Taylor. He was a truck driver and was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 14, 2006 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow at Willow Grove Cemetery in Joaquin, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Charles Ray Parker, Pete Parker, Johnny Ray Briggs, Earl McGee & Danny Goodwin.

Brian Daniel McDonough - Graveside service for Brian Daniel McDonough, 22, of Carthage will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, with the Rev. Ferrell Russell officiating. McDonough died April 13, 2006, in Carthage. Born June 30, 1983, in Fort Worth, he was the son of Dr. Fred C. and Terrilynn James McDonough. He was a student at Panola Junior College, Carthage. In addition to his parents, survivors include his sister, Megan Brooke McDonough of Lubbock; and grandparents, Reba James of Center and Joe and Blossom McDonough of Brady. Bevie Kent Bowlin - 59, of Timpson, passed away April 17, 2006 in Timpson, Texas. He was born August 30, 1946 in Center, Texas to Bevie Lee and Mabel Lee (Horton) Bowlin. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 19, 2006 from 5 till 7 pm. Services will be at 2 pm, Thursday April 20, 2006 at Tennessee Presbyterian Church in Timpson with Rev. Sammy Edlredge, Pastor of Timpson Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. Music by Sherri Strahan. Interment will be at Tennessee Cemetery in Timpson. Mr. Bowlin was a machinist and mechanic. Also a member of Timpson Missionary Baptist Church, served in the U.S. Marines, Member of International Machinist Local, Texas Carpenters & Millwright Local & NRA.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: Wife, Linda Thomas Bowlin of Timpson, Texas, Daughter, Katie Standfield and husband Donny of Katy, Texas, Sister, Danna Hasley and husband Mike of Nacogdoches, Texas, Stepsons, Darrell Sadler and wife Stephanie of Groves, Texas, Carl Sadler of Mauriceville, Texas and Grandchildren, Kayleigh Sadler and Brian Sadler. Oneita Stilley - formerly of Timpson, passed away Tuesday April 18, 2006 in Garrison, Texas. Oneita Stilley, 93, was born June 01, 1912 in Brockfield Texas. Her parents were Arthur Eugena and Pallie Frances (McLeroy) Hunt.Graveside Services will be 3 pm Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Corinth Cemetery, Timpson with Rev. Hollie Bass, Pastor of Old Home Missionary baptist Church in Joaquin, officiating. Music will be by Mary Katherine Stilley Bass. Interment in Corinth Cemetery, Timpson. Oneita Stilley's was a store clerk for Amos Foods and Mack's 5 & 10 in Timpson. Also was a member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in Timpson. A devoted wife, loving mother, devout Christian who was quick to aid others. She is preceded in death by parents, husband William Hoyt Stilley, daughter Sue Stilley Amos, sister Bess McIntyre, and brother Billy Eugene Hunt.

Survivors include: Son-in-law, paul Wendell Amos of Tomball, Texas, Grandchildren, Phillip Micheal Amos and wife Lisa of Tomball, Texas and paula Ann Amos of Pasadena, Texas. Great Granddaughters, Lindsey and Leslie Amos.

Donna "Donnie" Warr - Mangum Funeral Home announced services for Donna "Donnie" Warr, 87, of Center, Texas (Mt. Herman Community) passed away, Monday, April 17, 2006 at Nacogdoches Medical Center Hospital.

Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday, April 30, 2006 at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. R.B. Ellumbaugh, Bro. Bobby Warr & Bro. Steve Harris officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 pm until 9 pm at Mangum Funeral Home.

She was born August 22, 1918 in Shelby County, Texas to parents, Phillip & Tempie (Stephens) Koonce. She was a member of the Mt. Herman Missionary Baptist Church, she was a 50 year and Lifetime member of the Center Chapter #348 Order of the Eastern Star, she was a homemaker as well as an avid antique dealer.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Phillip & Tempie (Stephens) Koonce, Husband: Lofton Warr, Son: James "Jamie" Warr, infant Daughter, and sister Christine Barbee.

She is survived by Son: Delano Warr and wife Sandra of Center, Sister: Eldora Holt of Center, Granddaughter: Kerri Wiggins and husband Darren of Center, Grandson:Matt Warr and wife Elizabeth of Flagstaff, Arizonia, Great Grandsons: Jesse & Jared Wiggins of Center, Step Grandchildren: Wesley, Nathan & John Thompson & Charla Turner. Hester Mae Blackwell - Watson & Sons Funeral Home announced Hester Mae Blackwell, 73, of Stockman, went to be with her Lord on April 20, 2006. She was born May 20, 1932 in Stockman to Jim Haywood & Stella Adkinson Haywood. Mrs. Blackwell was a homemaker and loving mother that loved to sew and fish. She was a member of Assembley of God Church. As a young woman she moved to Houston, then back to Stockman to raise her children. Her loving smile and bright eyes will be sorely missed and she will never be forgotten.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with Bro. Tracy Wright and Bro. David Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Blair Cemetery in Timpson.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Backwell, Sr., Mark Blackwell, Sr., Will Blackwell, Lucas Blackwell, Keith Blackwell Jr., Justin Blackwell, Sr.,and Jeffrey Blackwell.

She is survived by Husband: Earl Blackwell. Children: Mark Blackwell & Robin Short. Kenneth Blackwell & wife Renee, Keith Blackwell & wife Angela and Louise Teets & husband Billy. 14 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, Also a number of nieces & nephews.

Glenda Killen - Glenda Killen, 59, of the McClelland Community, passed away Monday, April 24, 2006. She was born July 11, 1946 in Shelby County, Texas to George F. Killen, Jr. and Mary Lee Lovell Killen. She was a member of the Dreka Pentecostal Church.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, April 27, 2006 at McClelland Cemetery with Bro. Larry Dean & Rev. Kerry Green officiating.

She is survived by: Mother: Mary Lee Killen of Shelbyville, Sisters: Selma Bush & husband Joe of Shelbyville and Jerrie Killen of Shelbyville. Brother: Charles Killen of Shelbyville. Nephew: Steve Bush & wife Tanya of Shelbyville and Cheryl Kaul & husband Ralf of San Marcos.

Preceded in death by Father: George F. Killen, Jr. and Sister: Linda Killen.

Connon Doyle Warr - Doyle Warr, 92, of Center, passed away Monday, April 24, 2006. He was born September 9, 1913 in Shelby County, Texas to William R. Warr & Minnie Fitts Warr. Mr. Warr served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church in Center for 50 years.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with Rev. Carl Smith & Rev. Eddie Mahan officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.

Pallbearers will be Randy Warr, Matthew Warr, Rodney Warr, Tyson Johnson, Roger Sowell, Brett Wagnon and Don Still.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of the First Baptist Church.

Edwin Brown Booth - Taylor Funeral Home announces the passing of 94 year old, Edwin Brown Booth, of Timpson. His body has been cremated. No definite services have been planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Fannie Brown Booth Library, which is named for Mr. Booth’s mother, or to the Hospice of Deep East Texas.

Among Mr. Booth’s survivors are two sons, Thomas Brown Booth, of New York, and Edwin Fulton Booth, of Crosby, and two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Bouchard, of Illinois, and Margarett Ann Booth, of Horseshoe Bay.


Henry Maurice "Paul" Nettles - Services were held yesterday (Sunday) for 97 year old, Henry Maurice “Paul” Nettles, of Timpson.

Among Mr. Nettles’ survivors is his son, Harvey Albert Tipton, of Timpson.


Frances Nelson Fox - Taylor Funeral Home announces services for 92 year old, Frances Nelson Fox, of San Antonio. Services will be this (Monday) afternoon at two o’clock, at Woodlawn Cemetery, in Timpson.

Services will be Saturday afternoon at one o’clock, at Mount Zion Baptist Church in San Augustine. Interment will be in Mount Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from noon until six p.m. at Garner Chapel. There will be a final viewing beginning at noon on Saturday at Mount Zion Baptist Church.

C., and DeDe Collins, of Houston. Local survivors include her sister-in-law, Betty Sanders, of Center, and two brother-in-laws, Tom and James Gardner.

Sue Boles - Mangum Funeral Home announces services for 81 year old, Sue Boles, formerly of Center. Services will be Saturday afternoon at two o’clock, at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park. Visitation will begin Friday morning at 11 o’clock and will continue through Friday night at Mangum’s. She and her husband, Alvis, operated Boles Jewelry on the Center Square for many years.
