Mr. Claude H. Crocker, age 90, of Diboll, formerly of the Rosevine Community, in Sabine County, Texas, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 18, 2012,in Diboll, Texas.

Claude was born to Thurza Ellen (Chaney) Crocker and James Thomas Crocker on June 19, 1922, in Stockman, Texas. He was employed by Dow Chemical Company working in the Railroad Department. He was renown in the area as the "mule man" and was a member of the Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2012, in the Rosevine Missionary Baptist Church in Rosevine in Sabine County, Texas. Bro. Cliff Durham will officiate. Visitation will only be prior to the funeral service at the church.

His survivors include, Daughter, Shirley Anne Beaty of Angleton, 6 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, along with various nieces, nephews, and cousin.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Ahleen Crocker; daughter, Betty Jane Roberson, and brothers, Bill, James, and Joe and Ernest, and grandchildren: Johnny Ray Roberson, and Jason Roberson.

Bob George White, 72, of Timpson, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at his residence in Timpson. He was born October 12, 1940 in Wayne, Missouri to James Thomas White and Esther Ellis White.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Garrison Funeral Home in Garrison.

He is survived by his son, John White of Odessa; daughter, Rebecca Dabbs of Katy; five grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Frances Hall, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012.

Service: 3 p.m. Wednesday at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel in Ft. Worth, Texas. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.

Frances was born Dec. 28, 1923, in Mount Enterprise, to James Harris and Lela Belle Chapman. She enjoyed reading and loved her family, especially the kids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Henry Hall in 2005; two daughters; and three brothers.

Lyndal Conway Zezulka, 84, of Houston, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012 at East Houston Medical Center in Houston. She was born September 24, 1928 in Shelby County to Preston Conway and Rita Hillin Conway. Ms. Zezulka grew up in Shelby County and later became a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She practiced her nursing career for 40+ years. Her hobbies were gardening and collecting family photos. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. Ms. Zezulka had joined the First United Methodist Church in Tenaha.

Born January 2, 1935, in Shelby County, Texas, John Thomas Mims, Jr., was the son of the late John Thomas Mims, Sr., and Mary Cozart Mims. He served his country in the 101st Airborne Division of the U. S. Army. Junior Mims was a truck driver and a Baptist.

Survivors include his son Lee Mims of Carthage; daughter Kelley Comer and husband Teddy of Gary; sisters: Lorene McEntire, Marion Gentry and Olga Hughes and husband Gerald, all of Timpson; and grandchildren: Ti Comer, Keith Ryan Mims, and Kristen Carpenter.

Mrs. Wedgeworth passed away Friday, December 14, 2012, in Timpson.

Born February 25, 1929, in Greenville, TX, Mary Francis Wedgeworth was the daughter of the late Carl and Dovie (Jackson) Williams. She graduated from Greenville High School and on August 15, 1945, she was married to Virgil Wedgeworth in Houston. Mary and Virgil moved to Timpson in 1968, and she began her nursing career at Panola General Hospital in Carthage. Later she and Virgil owned and operated Mary’s Antiques in Timpson. Mary was a member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church and taught the Ruth Sunday School Class.

Survivors include daughters Candy Throckmorton and husband Jerry of Timpson and Becky Madden and husband Jay of Ft. Worth, TX; brother Wayne Williams and wife Senevia of Crockett, TX; sisters Hellen Barnette of Houston and Bonnie Dues of Dickinson, TX; grandchildren: Kevin Kellar and wife Bridgett, Angela Mullins, Fonda Kellar, Jason Mullins and wife Kim, and Jerry Lynn Throckmorton; great grandchildren: Megan, Fischer, Cara, Trey, Lance, Kelsey, Jacey, Hunter, Michael, Stephen, Patrick, Kelly, Kade, and Kiely; and great great grandchildren: Chandler and Kayden.

Mr. Morris "Skip" A. Springer, III, age 66, of the Norwood Community, San Augustine County, Texas, passed from this life, on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, in San Augustine County, Texas.

Morris "Skip" was born to Alma (Mueller) Springer, and Morris A. Springer, II, on February 20, 1946, in Dayton, Texas. He served in Vietnam with the 513th Engineers (D.T.) 1968-69, and he volunteered with the Telephone Pioneer for Special Olympics for many years. Skip was a foster parent for 33 children for over 10 years. He was employed with Southwestern Bell from 1966 until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of the Lutheran Faith.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2012, in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, in San Augustine, Texas, with John Napier officiating. Sy Grayson, 66, of Timpson, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Nacogdoches Medical Center in Nacogdoches. He was born November 7, 1946 in Anthony, Kansas to Lee Emerson Grayson and Reta Kent Grayson. Mr. Grayson was a missionary with the International Mission Board of Southern Baptist Convention for 13 years, during which time he worked with churches in South Africa and Swaziland. Mr. Grayson has also pastored Camp Wood Baptist Church in Camp Wood, First Baptist Church Menard in Menard and Cold Springs Baptist Church in Garrison. He also served as Associate Pastor at First Baptist Church in Gainesville. Mr. Grayson was most recently a member of First Baptist Church in Center.

Mrs. Rachel Renee Johnson, 49, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at her residence.

Mrs. Johnson was a longtime educator in the East Texas area, presently serving as principal of Brooks Quinn Jones Elementary and formerly a teacher in Tenaha.

Her survivors include her husband, Barrion Johnson of Nacogdoches; and two daughters.

Mary J. Sims, 46, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012 in Nacogdoches. She was born January 20, 1966 in Center to Henry Windham and Helen Slay Windham. Mrs. Sims was a homemaker, mother and grandmother.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, December 10, 2012 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Watson & Sons with Bro. Dewayne Sims and Bro. Barry Rankin officiating. Interment will follow in the Rather Cemetery in Shelbyville.

Pallbearers will be Brent Sims, Danny Meyers, Dexter Vaughn, Michael Bailey, Donald Moore and Jeffrey Windham. Honorary pallbearer will be Perry Bailey.

Carrol Lane Adams Schumacker was born November 16, 1942 in Beaumont , TX to Carrol and Mary Alice Lane Adams. She was a member of Sunset Missionary Baptist Church . Carrol was a devoted, dedicated, doting, and loving mother and grandmother. Carol is a 1961 graduate of Timpson ISD.

Surviving Carrol are daughters, Linda Bilnoski and husband Robert and Janie Roy and husband Lonnie; grandchildren, Robbie and Brandon Bilnoski, Justin Nall, Amanda Roy, Amy Alvarado, Melisa Rivera, Matthew Roy, and Jordan Nall; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Audrey Roy, Madison Alvarado, and Julian Rivera; brother, J.L. Nall, Jr. and sister, Maxyne Sapp.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother, Ted Adams and son, Jeffrey Nall.

Esther Ruth Thomas, 99, of Livingston formerly of Panola/Shelby County, passed away Thursday, December 06, 2012 at Conroe Regional Medical Center.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Hiram Melton officiating. A private family graveside will follow at Lone Cedar Cemetery in Joaquin. Visitation will be Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Mangum Funeral Home.

She was born May 23, 1913 in Panola County to Thomas J. and Georgia (Gunter) Huff.

Mr. Jim Weldon Chambers, age 51, of Hemphill, Sabine County, Texas, died Saturday, December 1, 2012, at his residence. He was born August 21, 1961, in San Augustine County, Texas, to the late John and Dorothy (Adkins) Chambers.

Jim was baptized into the baptist faith at Grapevine Missionary Baptist Church when he was a young man. He sold real estate in the area.

Josiah Kai Bryan passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012 in Oklahoma City.

Funeral service for Josiah, infant son of Kerry Christopher and Laurie Lynn (Kelt) Bryan, will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Grace Fellowship, 5333 NW Liberty, Lawton, OK 73505, with Pastor Kirk Pearson officiating.

A private family burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Lawton, Oklahoma under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

Josiah Kai Bryan was born April 13, 2012 to parents Kerry and Laurie Bryan at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born 1 pound 8 ounces and 13.5 inches long, Josiah was an overcomer and had a knack for defying the odds. He blessed his mommy and daddy for 229 days as he was a miracle each day. Josiah was full of personality and was not afraid to show it to the world. He was and always will be well loved and will be missed while he is apart from his loved ones.

LCpl. Frank Allums Sr. USMC, 62, of Amarillo died Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Visitation will be Friday November 30 in Memorial Parker Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00pm. Services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with the Rev. Cliff Houghton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Frank was born February 28, 1950, in Shelby County, TX to Truman Allums and Florence Cooper Allums. He serviced in the Unites States Marine Corp during the Viet Nam War. He was one of 4 children. Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved many things in life, like camping, fishing, hunting with his sons, grandsons, and sons-in-laws but most of all he loved being Popie to his grandchildren and spending quality time with them. He graduated from Shelbyville High School. He was married to Shirley Ann Wilson on March 29, 1968. He retired as a Captain from TDCJ-ID in 1996.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his father; his mother and one sister.

Survivors include four children and their spouses, Frank and Brandi Allums of Huntsville TX, Carey Cox of Amarillo & Bruce Cox of Aubrey TX, Kristopher and Vickie Allums of New Caney TX, and Faustino and Staci Martinez of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren, Kaleb and Kylie Allums both of Huntsville TX, Shelby and Jordan Allums, both of Aubrey, Aaron, Davin and Keely of New Caney TX, and Alex and Kayla, Michael, Amber and Enjelika Martinez all of Amarillo; and 2 great great-grandchildren, Rebekah "Gracie" Allums of Lake Dallas TX and Bryson "Scott" Allums of Splendora TX; one sister, Ollie Keele of Milam TX and one brother, Danny Allums of Crockett TX.
