Owen Scott Netterville who resided both in Illinois and Texas, died on April 18, 2026, at the age of 68. He was born on February 28, 1958, in Pasadena, Texas, to Victor (Sonny) and Janis Netterville.
Scott accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior on September 14, 1981, at the age of 23. In 1984, he went to Bible College with a desire to learn how to share the gospel with others and win souls for the Lord. During that time Scott felt God call him into the ministry and surrendered his life to service for the Lord. While there, he met his wife Debbie (Billadeau). They were married on November 18, 1988.
Scott has been blessed to serve the Lord in ministry for 38 years with Debbie beside him. Scott has served as a Bus Director, Youth Pastor, Assistant Pastor as well as Associate Pastor. He pastored a small church for 10 years in Pasadena, Texas. In April of 2014, Scott and Debbie moved back to Bourbonnais, Illinois and attended their home church Faith Baptist Church. Scott founded Ambassador Baptist Ministries. They were sent out as Missionaries from Faith Baptist Church. This ministry's purpose was to help start new churches, encourage small churches, and continue to grow from there. In 2020, during Covid, their ability to serve in that capacity became limited due to restrictions. Scott could not sit still. His desire to serve the Lord and share the gospel and plan of salvation was always his desire and passion. That is when he started the Bible Handout Ministry. This ministry has grown tremendously since its start and has spread across the United States and across the globe to other countries. Scott always shared the gospel with everyone and would tell how good the Lord has been to him.
Scott is preceded in death by his parents, Victor (Sonny) and Janis (McMillan) Netterville.
