Red Anderson, 86, of Center, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021, in Center.
Graveside service will be held 10am, Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Neuville Cemetery in Shelby County.
Born June 21, 1935, Red is the son of Leonard Elton Anderson and Frances Rachel Oliver Anderson. His career was in the poultry industry and later he did odd jobs such as mowing and picking up cans until his health declined. In previous years, you could find him playing his guitar on Saturday nights on the Center Square. Red was credited with being a good pool shark.
He was a member of Neuville Baptist Church.
He is survived by:
Brother, Charles H. Anderson of Colmesneil
Sisters:
Mary Ellen Harris of Joaquin
Grace Arlene Bruton of Colmesneil
Nephew, Spencer Bruton of Colmesneil
Niece, Thresa Jones of Joaquin
Numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Elton Anderson and Frances Rachel Oliver Anderson; brothers, Leonard E. Anderson and Lamar Anderson; and sister, Linda Smalley.
