Wanda Luè Hennigan Sholar, 81, of Petal, Mississippi, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025, in Petal, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 6, 2025, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Joe Walker and Ryder Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.
Born January 31, 1944, in Joaquin, Texas, Wanda is the daughter of Opal Yates Hennigan and Eva Belle Chandler Hennigan. A true homemaker, Wanda enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and cooking for family and church events. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. Wanda turned every event, whether theatre or the county fair into a learning opportunity for her grandchildren and any other children who were blessed to be around her. Teaching children brought her great joy. She loved sightseeing on trips taken with her family, and she was passionate about history. Wanda attended Petal Presbyterian Church for over forty years, and she dearly loved her church family.

Preceded in death by parents, Opal Yates Hennigan and Eva Belle Chandler Hennigan; siblings, Lucille Davis, Homer Laughlin, Jean Hughes, Ina Stone, Ronnie Jack Hennigan, Sarah Foshee, and Mary Frances Hennigan.
Pallbearers will be Bosco Hennigan, Anthony Hennigan, Dale Foshee, Chris Foshee, Jimmy Bivens, and Jinx Hutchins.
