April 10, 2024 - Panola College will be closed today due to weather and widespread flooding at all locations. Normal operations will resume on Thursday, April 11.

Charles C. Matthews Foundation Establishes Scholarship at Panola College to Support Future Educators

July 29, 2020 - In anticipation of the partnership between Panola College and the University of Texas in Tyler (UT Tyler), the Charles C. Matthews Foundation has established the Charles C. Matthews Foundation Teaching Scholarship. The scholarship is intended to support students at Panola College who are enrolled in the Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) program. There were almost 100 students majoring in the AAT program this past spring.

Concrete for the new Charles C. Matthews Foundation Pavilion at Pippen Memorial Park was poured on Tuesday, August 21.

Former Panola Baseball Players Heads to the College Baseball World Series

June 9, 2015 - Two former Panola College Baseball players are headed to Omaha to play in the NCAA Baseball World Series. Preston Guillory with TCU, and Brett McAfee with Arkansas will have the opportunity to play on the biggest stage that college baseball can provide.

Panola College Announces Naming Of Frances B. Ross Rooms

March 30, 2015 - Panola College Board of Trustees is proud to announce the naming of the Frances B. Ross Ballroom, located in the new Charles C. Matthews Foundation Student Center and the Frances B. Ross Lecture Hall, located in the new Health and Natural Sciences Building. These rooms are named in honor of Mrs. Frances B. Ross’s many years of support and generous financial contributions to Panola College and the Panola College Foundation.

Local Students Make Dean's List at Panola

January 8, 2015 - Panola College is proud to announce the names of those students named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2014 semester. To qualify a student must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours with a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.79. Only courses applying toward an associate degree or certificate are included in the computation.
