October 6, 2020 - C&J A/C and Electrical, one of the newest members of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce, is having a new member Ribbon Cutting on Tuesday, October 13th at 11:00am. The public is invited to join the celebration.

September 30, 2020 - The 2020 East Texas Poultry Festival, Sponsored by Farmers State Bank starts tomorrow at the Civic Center on Hurst Street and runs through Saturday, October 3rd. The Entrance to the Festival is on Civic Center Drive. Parking is available at the Ivan Smith parking lots and at Center Motor.
 
The Cutting of the Feathers will be held tomorrow Thursday, October 1st at 10am on the Frances Oates Center Stage!  
 

September 22, 2020 - Why did the chicken cross the road? To run in the 2020 East Texas Poultry Festival 5K Chicken Trot. Join us again this year for the 9th Annual 5K Chicken Trot on Saturday, October 3rd at 7:30am on the Center Downtown Square in front of All Hours Fitness.

September 16, 2020 - The 44th East Texas Poultry Festival will be featuring local Creative Arts through the annual Creative Arts Show, sponsored by Drewery Construction. Don’t miss this opportunity to show your handiwork in art, crafts, woodworking, needlework and metal art etc,

All creative arts divisions have several classes of judging categories and are open to Elementary (Kindergarten through 5th grades), Youth (6th through 12th grades) and Adults that will be judged in separate divisions. Ribbons will be awarded to the top three places in each category.
