Santa’s Christmas Parade Committee Announces “A Texas Christmas” Theme (Deadline)

November 22, 2017 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Santa’s Christmas Parade Committee announces the 2017 parade will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 beginning at 6:00 p.m. The theme for the parade this year is ”A Texas Christmas”. The Presenting Sponsor for this year’s parade is Shelby Savings Bank.

Taste of the Holidays Presented by Shelby Savings Bank (Tickets Available)

November 3, 2017 - The Holidays are fast approaching! The Taste of the Holidays is a perfect way to kick off the holiday season. The 5th Annual Taste of the Holidays will be held Friday evening, November 3 from 5pm – 7pm at the Windham Civic Center in conjunction with the William Crawford Carroll Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas annual Pinecone and Mistletoe Christmas Market.

Strut, Cluck, and Crow Chicken Clucking Contest Winners

October 7, 2017 - A crowd favorite of the festival is the "Strut, Cluck, and Crow" Chicken Clucking Contest. Platinum sponsor for the contest was the Light and Champion and award sponsor was Payne's Community News.

Southern Seasons Relocation Ribbon Cutting

September 28, 2017 - Please join The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and Shana Brittain, owner of Southern Seasons at her Business Relocation Ribbon Cutting on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 11am. The new location for Southern Seasons is located at 214 Austin Street in Center.

Southern Seasons is destination shopping with luxury home décor, gifts, gourmet foods, chocolates, garden art with a full floral shop. Wedding shower and house warming selections are welcome.

The public is invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.

Super Wednesday Continues with Doo Dah Parade, Cooking Contest

September 25, 2017 - We are down to the last few days before Super Wednesday! Come enjoy a day on the square September 27 and help us kick off the upcoming Poultry Festival! We will be starting the day with the Fajita Lunch at 11am. The Doo Dah Parade will be at 4:30pm, followed by the Chicken Cooking Contest at 5pm!
