November 28, 2016 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors along with Mooney’s Emporium will welcome Chamber members to a Business After Hours event on Tuesday, December 6 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 107 San Augustine Street.  Chelle Mooney will showcase their newest inventory items.

December 2, 2016 - With Santa’s Christmas Parade scheduled for Saturday, December 3 at 6:00 p.m. the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade committee is in communication with City officials and the National Weather Service to monitor conditions.

With a forecast of inclement weather, every effort is being made to avoid any danger due to extreme harmful weather conditions for parade entrants, vendors, as well as attendees.  The safety of all is of utmost priority.

November 21, 2016 - This year’s “O Christmas Tree” themed parade attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy funnel cakes, cookies, popcorn, Frito pie, hot chocolate, coffee, soft drinks and other festive delights starting at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3. Participating vendors include Jackson Missionary Baptist Church, Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church and Shelbyville Lions Club. Vendors will be located on the Courthouse lawn and Shelbyville Lions Club will be on the sidewalk at Gatherings.  

November 4, 2016 - The 4th Annual Taste of the Holidays, hosted by Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and presented by Shelby Savings Bank, will be held on Friday, November 4 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Windham Civic Center.  Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, October 19 through Wednesday, November 2. Tickets are $25 per person which will cover both admission costs to the Taste of the Holidays and the Pinecone and Mistletoe Christmas Market for two days.

October 24, 2016 - Cybersecurity, economic development and tourism are on the agenda during the 2016 Governor’s Small Business Forum and Economic Summit, hosted by the Texas Forest Country Partnership.
