Mooney’s Emporium to Host Business After Hours

November 23, 2015 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors along with Mooney’s Emporium will host a Business After Hours event on Tuesday, December 8 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mooney’s Emporium is located at 107 San Augustine St. on the downtown Center square. Betty Mooney and Chelle Mooney will showcase their newest inventory items.

Mooney’s is a specialty shop with a variety of unique items, custom designed tee shirts, one of a kind gifts and many ideas for Christmas presents.

Vendor Space Available at Santa's Christmas Parade

November 19, 2015 - Christmas Parade Committee Chairman Randy Collard informed the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce that vendor spaces are still available for the Santa’s Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 5, 2015.

According to Collard, vendor space is limited and free to churches, civic and non-profit organizations. Interested organizations must complete a vendor application and will be notified regarding acceptance. Approved vendors can set up from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the day of the parade at an assigned location on the downtown square.

Santa’s Christmas Parade Committee announces theme “Christmas Movies and Songs”

October 29, 2015 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce, Santa’s Christmas Parade Committee announces the 2015 parade will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 beginning at 6:00 p.m. The theme for the parade this year is Christmas Movies and Songs and presented by Shelby Savings Bank.

3rd Annual Taste of the Holidays Deadline Approaching

October 28, 2015 - The 3rd Annual Taste of the Holidays, hosted by Shelby County Chamber of Commerce and presented by Shelby Savings Bank, will be held on Friday, November 6 from 5pm until 7pm at the Windham Civic Center. Space is limited and the deadline to purchase tickets is Monday, November 2. Tickets are $25 per person which will cover both admission costs to the Taste of the Holidays and the Pinecone and Mistletoe Christmas Market for two days.

Janell Grum Family Crisis Center of East Texas New Member Ribbon Cutting

October 21, 2015 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors invite the public to join them at a new member ribbon cutting for the Janell Grum Family Crisis Center of East Texas and Chairman of the Board, Jim McReynolds and Heather Kartye, Executive Director, on Thursday, October 29 at 10:00 a.m. The Family Crisis Center is located at 616 Tenaha Street in Center.

Tyson Foods to Sponsor East Texas Poultry Festival Chicken Cooking Contest

September 11, 2015The East Texas Poultry Festival Chicken Cooking Contest, sponsored by Tyson Foods, features creative and delicious chicken dishes. The 2015 contest will be held Wednesday, September 23, immediately following the Doo Dah Parade, sponsored by Center Tire Co., on the Historic Downtown Center Square with judging at 5:00 p.m. Participants will need to be set up and ready to go before judging begins.

Daily Bakery and Tortilleria New Member Ribbon Cutting

August 25, 2015 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors invite the public to join them at a New Member Ribbon Cutting for Daily Bakery & Tortilleria and owners, Omar and Edey Rivera on Friday, August 28th at 10:00 a.m. Daily Bakery & Tortilleria is located at 812 Shelbyville Street in Center.

Free coffee and bread will be offered during the Ribbon Cutting.
