SC Chamber of Commerce Celebrates 100th Anniversary at Annual Awards Banquet

November 1, 2019 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce will celebrating its 100th Anniversary at the Annual Awards Banquet on November 7th at 6:30 at the Windham Civic Center.

Over the course of the past 100 years, the Chamber of Commerce has been exceedingly fortunate in having outstanding business and community leaders give of their time, energy, resources and leadership. By the end of the evening, more exceptional community leaders will be recognized and their names will be added to the list of leaders.

7th Annual Taste of the Holidays Reservation Tickets Available

October 30, 2019 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors are hosting the 7th Annual Taste of the Holidays, presented by Shelby Savings Bank, an eclectic culinary sampling and dining experience, on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 5pm until 8pm at the John D. Windham Civic Center. Tickets will be on sale beginning Tuesday, November 12 and will be available to be purchased at Shelby County Today, The Light and Champion, the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce office or from any Chamber Ambassador.

Santa’s Christmas Parade Committee Announces “Songs of the Season” Theme

October 28, 2019 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Santa’s Christmas Parade Committee announces the 2019 parade will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 beginning at 6:00pm. The Parade is presented by Shelby Savings Bank. The theme for this year’s parade is “Songs of the Season”.

Categories for the 2019 Parade will include: Individuals, Schools, Businesses, Churches and Civic Organizations. Judges will award cash prizes to the top three places in each category. The Float Competition Sponsor is the City of Center.

Hissy Fit Postpones Business After Hours

October 21, 2019 - The Business After Hours at Hissy Fit scheduled for Tuesday, October 22, has been postponed. A future date in December will be announced.

October 16, 2019 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors along with Susan and Kathryn King, owners of Hissy Fit, will welcome Chamber members and the public to a Business After Hours event on Tuesday, October 22nd from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 206 Nacogdoches Street.

Veronica’s Soul Food Restaurant Ribbon Cutting

October 14, 2019 - Please join the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and Owner Veronica Haggerty at Veronica’s Soul Food Restaurant’s New Member Ribbon Cutting on Friday, October 18th at 11am. Veronica’s is located at 818 Shelbyville Street. The public is invited to attend to celebrate. Free samples of the delicious food will be offered and plan on staying for lunch.
