April 14, 2016 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Teacher Appreciation reception hosted by the Shelby County Chamber and presented by Cline Family Medicine will be held on Wednesday, April 20 at the Windham Civic Center in Center at 4:00 p.m. The reception is held annually to salute and recognize the dedicated administrations and teaching staff of all the Shelby County school districts.

April 1, 2016 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Shelby Beautiful Clean Committee announces “Shred Day”, presented by Shelby Savings Bank, will have a mobile shredding unit available on the Historic Downtown Center Square on Friday, April 8 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Community members are invited to bring documents and paper that need to be shredded. Businesses that wish to bring shred items are limited to ten file boxes of paper.  For larger quantities please contact the Chamber to make arrangements so that it may be accommodated.

March 24, 2016 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors invite the public to celebrate with Center Motor Company at their relocation ribbon cutting and open house.

March 21, 2016 - Shelby County Chamber of Commerce President, Jim Sawyer, recently announced that the 94th Annual Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Banquet, presented by Farmers State Bank, will be held on Monday, April 25 at 6:00 p.m. at the Windham Civic Center.

March 11, 2016 - The Shelby County Grill Fest Barbecue Cook-off will be Saturday, March 19 at the Windham Civic Center in Center, Texas, with cook teams from across east Texas and western Louisiana vying for over $6,700 in prize money and the Grand Champion trophy along with bragging rights. 

The barbecue cook-off is presented by Farmers State Bank and sanctioned by the Lone Star Barbecue Society. The event will feature three cooking categories including brisket, chicken and ribs.
