April 24, 2023 - Shelbyville High School Academic UIL students competed at the Region III-AA Academic UIL Meet at Panola College on April 21st and 22nd. The following students received awards:

- Maddie Lout – Persuasive Speaking (5th Place)
- Kennedy McArthur – Lincoln Douglas Debate (6th Place)
- Kaylin Miller – Editorial Writing (3rd Place), Feature Writing (4th Place), News Writing (3rd Place)
- Kason Parker – Number Sense (1st Place)
- Malachi Sierra – Number Sense (6th Place)
- Ava Silva – Informative Speaking (2nd Place), Poetry Interpretation (3rd Place)
- Tristan Vickers – Computer Applications (6th Place)
