April 19, 2021 - Shelbyville High School Academic UIL students competed at the Region III-AA Academic UIL Meet at Panola College on April 16th and 17th. Competing with forty-five regional Class AA schools, Shelbyville High School placed second and is the Region III-AA Academic UIL Runner-Up Champion.
March 29, 2021 - Shelbyville High School competed at the District 23AA University Interscholastic League (UIL) Academic Spring Meet held at SFA on March 24th. Shelbyville competitors scored points in twenty academic events, qualified thirty students for the Region III-AA Academic UIL Meet, scored 700 total points and captured the District Championship.

March 18, 2021 - High school students in Shelbyville ISD will compete for top honors during the 2021 District 23AA UIL Academic Spring Meet to be held on March 24th at SFASU. The UIL Academic District Meets bring students together to compete in over 23 college level academic contests that cover every aspect of classroom curriculum. These students meet rigorous scholastic requirements in order to voluntarily compete in UIL academics. Contestants compete for individual honors while schools compete for the district championship.
March 6, 2020 - High school students in Shelbyville ISD will compete for top honors during the 2020 District 22AA UIL Academic Spring Meet to be held on March 25th at SFASU. The UIL Academic District Meets bring students together to compete in over 23 college level academic contests that cover every aspect of classroom curriculum.
February3, 2020 - Shelbyville High School’s Academic UIL team competed at the first annual SFA Lumberjack Invitational Academic UIL Meet on January 24th. There were 30 schools from 1A-5A with over 700 students competing.

December 9, 2019 - The District 22AA Middle School One Act Play competition was held at Panola College on November 21st. The first place Shelbyville One Act Play, Steel Magnolias, was directed by LaRee Greer.

December 9, 2019 - Shelbyville Middle School students competed in the District 22AA South Zone Middle School Academic UIL Meet held at Shelbyville on December 3rd and 5th.
“Students, sponsors, administrators and parents are to be commended for the commitment required by academic competition,” said Lisa Parker, UIL Assistant Director. “Experience gained through extracurricular activities is far more valuable than medals or trophies.”
