Shelbyville Academic UIL Team Competes in 12th Annual Wildcat Winter Games

January 30, 2019 - The Shelbyville High School Academic UIL team competed with students from Class A, AA, AAA and AAAA in the Twelfth Annual Wildcat Winter Games at Whitehouse High School on January 25th and 26th.

January 13, 2019 - The Shelbyville High School academic UIL team competed at Chireno’s Seventh Annual Academic UIL Invitational Meet on January 12, 2019, with twelve schools competing. Receiving awards from Shelbyville:

S. W. Carter Elementary School Wins Academic UIL District 22AA South Zone

December 12, 2018 - S. W. Carter Elementary School students competed in the District 22AA South Zone Elementary School Academic UIL Meet held at Shelbyville on December 4th and 6th.

“Students, sponsors, administrators and parents are to be commended for the commitment required by academic competition,” said Lisa Parker, UIL Assistant Director. “Experience gained through extracurricular activities is far more valuable than medals or trophies.”

November 27, 2018 - Shelbyville Middle School students will compete at Shelbyville in the District 22AA South Zone Middle School Academic UIL Meet on December 4th and 6th. Schools competing include San Augustine, Shelbyville and Woden.

November 27, 2018 - S. W. Carter Elementary School students will compete at Shelbyville in the District 22AA South Zone Elementary Academic UIL Meet on December 4th and 6th. Schools competing include San Augustine, Shelbyville and Woden.

Shelbyville High School competed in the District 22AA Academic UIL Spring Meet held at SFA on March 21st. Shelbyville competitors scored points in seventeen events and qualified 23 students for the Region III-AA Academic UIL Meet.

Shelbyville HS Students to Compete in District 22AA Academic UIL Spring Meet

March 12, 2018 - High school students in Shelbyville ISD will compete for top honors during the 2018 District 22AA UIL Academic Spring Meet to be held on March 21st at SFA. The UIL Academic District Meets bring students together to compete in over 22 college level academic contests that cover every aspect of classroom curriculum. These students meet rigorous scholastic requirements in order to voluntarily compete in UIL academics. Contestants compete for individual honors while schools compete for the district championship.
