December 15, 2016 - Shelbyville Middle School students competed in the District 22AA Middle School Academic UIL Meet held at Joaquin on December 6th and 8th.  Receiving awards from Shelbyville:

November 30, 2016 - Shelbyville Middle School students will compete at Joaquin in the District 22AA Middle School Academic UIL Meet on December 6th and 8th. Schools competing include Chireno, Joaquin, San Augustine, Shelbyville, Tenaha, Timpson and Woden.

March 7, 2016 - High school students in Shelbyville ISD will compete for top honors during the 2016 District 22AA UIL Academic Spring Meet to be held on March 23rd at SFA. The UIL Academic District Meets bring students together to compete in over 22 college level academic contests that cover every aspect of classroom curriculum. These students meet rigorous scholastic requirements in order to voluntarily compete in UIL academics.

December 14, 2015 - S. W. Carter Elementary School students competed in the District 22AA Elementary School Academic UIL Meet held at Shelbyville on December 8th and 10th. Receiving awards from Shelbyville:
