Shelbyville High School Academic UIL Regional Meet Results

April 19, 2021 - Shelbyville High School Academic UIL students competed at the Region III-AA Academic UIL Meet at Panola College on April 16th and 17th. Competing with forty-five regional Class AA schools, Shelbyville High School placed second and is the Region III-AA Academic UIL Runner-Up Champion.

Number Sense Team (Trey Smith, Kason Paker, Naquila Barnes, Abby Shofner) – 1st place
Speech Team – 1st place

These competitors are coached by Cole Harrison (Number Sense), Claire Windham (Ready Writing, Feature Writing, Headline Writing), Mario Osby (Computer Applications), Brooke Harrison (Science), Jeane Taylor (Poetry Interpretation) and Emily Sowell (Informative Speaking, Persuasive Speaking, Lincoln Douglas Debate).

Trey Smith, Kason Parker, Naquila Barnes, Abby Shofner, Levi Dramberger, Molly Windham, Myla Wagstaff and Shiloh Amburn will compete at the Academic UIL Non-Speech State Meet on May 1st at Stephen F. Austin State University.

Ava Silva, Hagan Crumpton, Aubree Camp and Naomi Caporali will compete virtually in the Academic UIL Speech State Meet on May 25th and 26th.
