September 6, 2016 - Two victims of a stabbing incident are transported to a local emergency room for treatment following an altercation between neighbors.
Center Police Department Officers responded to 1100 Garrett Street in reference to a reported stabbing on Thursday, September 1, 2016.
Detective David Haley was called out to process the crime scene where he discovered two victims, 19-year-old Carlos Booth and 18-year-old Mon-Travious Harris had been stabbed. Harris was transported to Nacogdoches Medical Center in Center for treatment.
Through Detective Haley’s investigation it was discovered that 31-year-old Anthony Letroy James who is the neighbor to the victims had gotten angry. James walked to the victim’s residence where an altercation began and he pulled a knife on the victims, stabbing Booth under his left rib area puncturing his lung and then slicing Harris' lower torso.
Detective Haley located the suspect at 1160 Garrett Street where he was arrested for two counts of Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon felony 2 and his girlfriend, Mackeish Lanne Moore was arrested for Hindering Apprehension misdemeanor A and transported to the Center Police Department where they were booked in on their charges without further incident.
Harris was treated for his injuries and released by Nacogdoches Medical Center in Center, while Carlos Booth was later life flighted to Nacogdoches to be further treated.
