March 16, 2016 - Joaquin Mayor Bill Baker announces the American Red Cross will be at the Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department station with clean up kits at 10am Saturday, March 19th for those affected by the flooding.
According to the American Red Cross website the kits include items such as a 5 gallon bucket with lid, mop, broom, squeegee, scrub brush, sponge, work gloves and latex gloves, respirator mask, garbage bags, and cleaning solutions which will help home owners with the process of cleaning up flooded homes. It is unknown if the kits distributed Saturday will contain the exact same items. A limited number of kits will be available and are for flood victims only.
