July 27, 2017 - Aurora Concepts is hosting a Start Back to School Strong clinic on August 5th from 8am to 12noon at the Center Clinic.
Bridget Hughes, MSN, RN, FNP-BC, invites everyone to take advantage of this one day event which includes annual exams, sports physicals, head start physicals, immunizations, hemoglobin or lead screening for Head Start. The event is for ages 0-18. Walk-ins are welcome and appointments are encouraged.
The event is August 5th only. Call today to schedule an appointment at 936-591-8171. Please bring insurance information and shot records with you. Costs are $5 per immunization for uninsured and $15 for sports physicals.
Hughes has been back at the Center Clinic since April, "I'm very excited to be back here in Center. I was gone to Crockett getting that established for a year. I got back and opened on April 1st and since that time, I'm very happy to be back here at home and being able to be back in the community."
"We are going to provide low cost school physicals that day as well as any immunizations that your child needs to get started back to school," explained Hughes. On a daily basis she said, "Aurora Concepts does immunizations, well checkups for children and adults, and sick visits for the entire family. The clinic also provides corporate services such as DOT physicals, drug screens, and breath alcohol testing. They accept workers compensation insurance. They accept medicare, medicaid, and most mayor insurances."
Hughes has been a nurse practitioner since 1999. She worked in Center almost the whole 20-year career after graduating from SFA with a BSN in Nursing and receiving her masters in the Nurse Practitioner program at U.T.M.B. in Galveston.
Aurora Concepts is a multifaceted corporation with two medical clinics which provide Family Practice services, one clinic in Center and one in Crockett, Texas. They also provide on-site services such as immunizations and preventative healthcare for schools, companies, and communities. Aurora Concepts currently service 65 different schools in Texas from Texarkana down to Buna and from Joaquin over to Midlothian.
