April 8, 2024 - Hello, my name in Jimmy Faulkner and I’m running for Shelby County Sheriff in the upcoming runoff election on May 28, 2024.

Typically, in a runoff election, the voter turnout is considerably less. My hope is that this time it will be different. I encourage voters to pick the best candidate based only on experience, qualifications, and leadership qualities. I have 29 years in law enforcement, 13 years of management skills, I’ve been a supervisor/leader, and possess many leadership qualities such as honesty, integrity, and professionalism.

March 8, 2024 - The Whistle Stop Cafe & Grill is excited to announce our grand opening on Monday, March 11th, at 11am. We are eager to provide our customers with a memorable dining experience that will leave a lasting impression. 

February 23, 2024 - A Low Cost Spay/Neuter and Pet Wellness Clinic is held in Center every second Friday of the month and every fourth Saturday from 10-3p. The next clinics in Center will take place Saturday, February 24 and Friday, March 8 at Goodwill Shopping Center in Center, Texas located at 1155 Tenaha Street. We offer dog/cat vaccines, heartworm tests/prevention, flea/tick prevention, microchips, and nail trims.

December 6, 2023 - Town and Country Real Estate has teamed up with Primp Salon and are hosting cookies with Santa along with Punch with the Grinch on Saturday, December 16th from 12 until 2pm on the downtown Center square!
