Lori McSwain has diabetes and has developed an infection in her foot. The infection entered her blood stream and she became septic before she knew it. Lori is in the hospital on high powered antibiotics. If they can't clear up the infection, they will have to amputate her foot.
While in the hospital it has been detected that she also has some broken bones in both her feet that she wasn't aware of. Because of the diabetes she has lost feeling in her feet. She will have to have surgery on her feet as well, to repair the broken bones.
Lori has a long road ahead of her and this has put a financial strain on the family .
