Update on Don Lovell's condition:
He is no longer in ICU and has been transferred to the Bomar Rehab facility in Nacogdoches where is undergoing physical and speech therapy. Upon recovery from the stokes, he will be getting treatment for the spot on his lung. After that, if all goes well he is then set to have Pacemaker surgery. Working all his life, he does have Medicare but the enormous costs for all these procedures is taking a toll. Any donations are appreciated. July 3, 2019 - (Updated Flier) - Benefit and Bake sale for Don Lovell is set for Thursday, July 11, 2019. Don has been in congestive heart failure for several years. Recently doctors found a cancer cell in the lower lobe of his left lung.
Surgery has had to be put on hold because this past week he has suffered multiple strokes. He is in ICU and unsure what the next steps will be. I am taking pre-orders for Twice-baked potatoes to be picked up at Cajun Corners at 96N on the Tenaha Hwy. on Thursday, July 11, 2019. $6 for a huge potato filled with taste. Desserts will vary and will be priced when you come.
