Blue Bell Returns to Shelby County

The Blue Bell truck is seen above outside of the Center Brookshire Brothers Location on Monday, December 14, 2015December 14, 2015 - Blue Bell Ice Cream has returned to Shelby County! Blue Bell eating aficionados converged on Brookshire Brothers grocery stores in Center, and Joaquin first thing in the morning on Monday, December 14, 2015 to fulfill their long running fantasies of once again having Blue Bell in their freezers.

Brookshire Brothers in Center received their delivery of Blue Bell Ice Cream early in the morning and according to David Hailey, Store Manager, the sales began before the ice cream even hit the shelves. By 12-noon, the 1/2 gallon containers were almost gone.

Catherine Duvon (Pictured above) was the first Blue Bell Ice Cream customer of the day at the Center location on Monday, December 14, 2015.The Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department and DeSoto Parish Volunteer Fire Department out of Logansport were on scene to assist with crowd control and usher in the Blue Bell Ice Cream truck as it arrived. By 10:59am, the Blue Bell truck had arrived at the Joaquin location and by 1:22pm much of the ice cream had quickly moved off the shelves.

As of 1pm, the truck was being unloaded at B&B Grocery in Timpson.

Blue Bell ice cream may have evacuated the stores with much speed on Monday; however, anyone that has missed out should fret not, as Blue Bell will be returning to the stores all week to replenish Brookshire Brothers shelves.
