Boil Water Notice Lifted for Sand Hills Water Supply

September 14, 2016 - UPDATE: The Boil water notice has been lifted that was issued for part of Sand Hills Water Supply customers on September 8, 2016.

This boil notice is only for Sand Hills Water Supply customers that were out of water on September 8th, 2016.

Due to a water line break, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required our water System, Sand Hills Water Supply, to notify customers of the need to boil water prior to consumption. To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and boiled for 2 minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source. When it is no longer to boil water, the water system officials will notify you that the water is safe for consumption. Instructions to discontinue boiling will be issued in the same manner as this notice. If you have any questions you may call Derek at 936-332-7683.
