Broadway Announces Candidacy for Re-Election as Justice of the Peace, Pct. 5

To the voters of Shelby County, Pct. 5:

November 15, 2021 - I have filed paperwork to seek re-election as your justice of the peace in the upcoming March 1, 2022 Republican Primary.

The past three years in office have been a wonderful opportunity serving the citizens of the Timpson area, as well as Shelby County. Your trust in me to hold the office, carry-out the J.P. duties in a fair, non-partisan manner, and represent you, has been an honor and pleasure. I look forward to continuing to provide assistance, compassion and service to Precinct 5, and this county.

Since taking office in January 2019, I’ve completed over 140 hours of continuing education through the Texas Justice Court Training Center, in addition to training from the Office of Court Administration, Justices of the Peace and Constables Association of Texas, East Texas Justices of the Peace and Constables Association, and Texas Justice Court Judges Association.

This training, and hands-on experience assisting citizens daily with Class C misdemeanor cases punishable by fine only, landlord and tenant disputes, small claim and debt issues, in addition to conducting death inquest, and performing marriage ceremonies, to name a few of the duties, has me ready to continue as your justice of the peace.

I look forward to further serving the citizens of the Timpson area, and Shelby County.

Please exercise your right to vote, March 1. Thank you!
